Congratulations to our colleague Jon Gulman on being recognized by The Family Wealth Alliance 2020 Young Professionals Awards. The Young Professionals competition is a way for the organization to honor professionals under 40 shaping the family wealth industry, who have demonstrated success in their careers and made significant contributions to the financial industry.
Criteria for Selection and Disclosure
Nominees must be under the age of 40 as of January 1, 2020, employed at an established or aspiring family wealth firm and supported by the nominee’s President/CEO, their direct supervisor, or an Alliance member. A panel of third-party judges reviewed the nominations and selected the 2020 honorees. Nominees were judged based on three criteria, equally weighted and averaged together to calculate their overall score. Weighting was executed by a computerized scoring system and not by judges’ determination. Judges could abstain from judging a category or a nominee if they believed there was a conflict of interest. Judges provided their unbiased assessment on each candidate. There were 55 nominees and 25 winners selected.
Judges looked for the following elements while reviewing nominees:
- Thoughtfulness of the application
- Insights into the industry
- Introspective reflections and considerations
- Demonstrated impact
- Does the candidate seem to focus on putting clients’ interests above their own?
- Does the candidate appear to have high standards and values?
- Does leadership see true potential in the candidate?
There was no cost to complete the questionnaire. Inclusion on the list is not a reflection of any client’s experience with the firm or with Jon Gulman nor is it an indication of future experience or investment performance.
