The Data Analyst is responsible for designing and developing analytical reporting solutions for the firm. The person in this role will develop strategies to transform datasets into complete outputs, and on occasion provide insight into these outputs to help management make critical business decisions. The Data Analyst will work closely with other members of the Operations team to provide reports which drive continuous improvement on accuracy, efficiency and productivity throughout the firm. This position plays an essential role in helping to support process improvements across the Firm. This role reports to the COO who, along with the CEO, has operational and business data ownership and oversight accountabilities.

This position will also work closely with the data initiatives of the CI Private Wealth, which services over 20 wealth management firms in the US. Successful candidates have the unique opportunity to expand their role to the national platform level of CIPW.

Initial Key Areas of Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

· Identify internal and external data visualization and reporting needs

· Design, develop and deliver reporting deliverables on request

· Fulfill data visualization and reporting needs through the development of intuitive, engaging, insightful, and attractive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI, or other data visualization tools

· Define performance analytics standards, guidelines and KPIs for business intelligence to measure effectiveness and summarize client data

· Prepare data visualizations and summarize key takeaways for presentations and reports, and data visualizations for external sources

· Clean and organize large datasets for analysis and visualization; verify and ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data

· Collaborate with the Management and Operations staff to conduct comprehensive reviews of organization-wide data

· Maintain control of data flow input into CRM

· Gather data and provide to other team members for their own reporting and analytical needs, upon request

· Track data including client lifecycle and ensure consistency across firm

· Assist with prioritized implementation initiatives across front-, middle-, and back-office systems

· Responsible for providing monthly, quarterly and annually reporting to CIPW, the Board and Management Team.

· Stay current on compliance regulations and provide compliance reporting as required

· Conduct data review and interchange between various systems for billing

· Facilitate data-driven decisions by communicating results and findings in a clear and concise manner

· Participate as required with special ad hoc project initiatives and analysis, including data preparation, reporting and compliance requests

Qualifications

This position requires extreme prioritization skills, attention to detail, and accurate efficiency. The Data Analyst is often required to quickly shift focus and prioritization to provide data urgently as requested by many members throughout the firm. A Bachelor’s Degree with business, analytics or engineering concentration is preferred. 3-5 years’ experience in similar role required. Experience in finance, marketing or information systems industry preferred. Ability to understand the implications of data, and interpret data in context, including identifying trends and outliers. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels across the firm both verbally and orally, and with presentations. Ability to work effectively independently and within a team. Strong initiative, teamwork and organizational skills are essential with the ability to prioritize multiple requests from a variety of sources.
